Carlo Gemelli of Italy was
granted American Design
Patent 184,613 for this on
March 17, 1959. The title of
the patent is "Bottle
Opener."

The design also includes a
cap lifter & as you can see,
the back has a series of
toasts...cheers!
This group of six double lever corkscrews, made in aluminium are all based on Carlo Gemelli's patent. They
date to the 1950/60's & all of them have a handy cap lifter mouth to get that cool bottle of Bud open. As with
Gemelli's original design they also carry a series of toasts on their backs.

It's very hard to find perfect examples given the paint is easily chipped, so it's worth paying extra if you find
one in great condition.

I reckon the two fellows with a mustache are the toughest to track down.
GOOD IDEA

All these corkscrews were originally sold in
colourful boxes which rarely turn up. If you
find a boxed example at a fair price, snap it
up, it'll be a very good future investment.
I've enjoyed compiling this corkscrew guide, I hope it can be of
assistance to you. If you'd like to get in touch it would be great to hear
from you.
